There are several theatre venues in St Andrews now. The Students' Association, the Barron Theatre and the Byre Theatre being the main venues. Mermaids the theatre sub committee regularly puts on many shows with the various student production companies. The Byre also regularly has semi professional productions on. Most plays are advertised by a barrage of posters and ticket sales either outside the library or the Barron Theatre.
