It's that time of year again, when we dust off costumes and do something vageuly
scary. DocSoc is no exception, and on Tuesday we'll be having our Halloween
celebration, so come along in Doctor Who themed costumes and prepare to be
scared by 'Blink' and 'The Awakening' (Trust me, all you need is ten minutes
with some tin foil, some bubble wrap and some poster paint and you can make
quite a convincing monster.)

'Blink' features the Tenth Doctor and Martha needing to be rescued by a young
woman named Sally Sparrow. Can Sally work out the mystery of the DVD extras?
Why do the angels have the phone box? How hard is it not to blink for a few
minutes? More importantly, will we make it through this episode without having
to hide behind the couch?

'The Awakening' is a Fifth Doctor story, set in the village of Little Hodcombe
where a civil war re-enactment is getting out of hand. Why are soldiers from
the past appearing in the village? What is the Malus? Why is Tegan always
whinging about something?

Come along on Tuesday 30th October and find out! It's at 8pm in Macintosh Hall
and will feature the usual food, quiz and heckling with the added bonus of
being in fancy dress. Don't miss out!

£2 for non-members, free for members. Membership for the year is £3.50.
