Society clothing

This is an idea that gets bandied around but nothing ever gets done...

Do we want soc clothing this year? If so, I would like to minimise the complications of an order, so I was wondering if anyone has any preferences about what type we order?

I have a personal preference for a rugby shirt, but any other ideas would be welcome and then the committee can talk about them.

One idea I've had for a while (can't remember if I've brought this up at com meetings) is that owing to the reluctance some people might have to wearing an item of clothing with society branding on it would be to have some sort of generic symbol or logo - even the floating boxes design (people could choose which colour & landmark for example) printed on the back. The Snowboarding soc seem to have some cool stuff printed on the back of their hoodies, so it may be worth looking into. That's not to say we can't have LGBT on it somewhere, but we may attract more support for them if they're more than the inevitable grey hoodie with sewn-on crest and text.

I thought that the floating boxes design would work the best anyway, nice and simple, and not too complicated. We shall definitely have to look into it when Reading Week is over...
