I've seen two different dentists in St Andrews, and my favourite (the guy I've seen more than once) is the one with his surgery on South Street (upstairs and next door to Rock Sensations). Lovely man, really put me at ease. So if it's a particular dentist you're worried about, I'd recommend this guy...

If we're talking children's books, "Goodnight Mister Tom" by Michelle Magorian has been my favourite since I was about nine years old. I just reread it last week and get more out of it every time. Didn't watch the TV version, though, because I didn't want it to interfere with the version in my head....
