Re:

There is no excuse for being downright abusive or rude to anyone. Fair enough if the person who is supposed to be helping you is rude to you, but complaining about things that are blatantly not their fault but the fault of company policy is pointless and only angers the employee. This whole "the cus...

Re:

Best bit of advice - try being nice to call centre workers. Do you think they want to be on the other end of a phone helping you with your problems? No. I currently work, and have worked since I was 16, in retail based jobs, and everytime I get a rude or abusive customer, I go out of my way NOT to h...

Re:

What I find interesting, as I've read more about this revelation, is the reaction from people. Apparent Harry Potter fans have been saying this changes the whole series for them. Why? Some have said "Why did she feel the need to reveal Dumbledore's sexuality?" Well, she was asked if he had ever love...

It wasn't her greatest performance. Compared to her previous VMA performances, it was poor and embarrassing to watch. I just feel bad for her right now. She obviously wasn't ready for such a high profile event. Otherwise, loving the song!!

Re:

Ironically, the OP has just explained exactly how St Andrews has the reputation it has. A reputation, that is, of excellence and consistent high standing amongst other universities in Scotland. The system merely separates those capable of achieving honours, and those incapable or barely scraping by.

Pipex Cancellation

Has anyone cancelled their contract with Pipex ISP before the 12 months is up? If so, how much was their cancellation fee? I've checked the website but nothing seems to be on there... I would phone, but thought I'd check on here first! Thanks in advance!

Or, perhaps she hasn't been doing drugs and she shaved her hair off because it was wrecked by constant dying/hair extensions? Or, simply wanted a change. Either way, she needs help, and I hope she gets it and comes back healthy, happy and in a right state of mind. Then she can look after the kids an...

Quoting Alice from 22:16, 20th Jul 2006

I'd say skip out on it. What can they do? Stalk you with letters, refuse to acknowledge your degree?

Er, don't think it's as easy as simply being able to "skip out on it". They can do more than stalk you with letters! Jeez.

I'm glad someone posted about this! I read the BBC news site this morning at work and was really hacked off that Scotland seems to have been chopped off as well! I even looked for a link to email the BBC about it, asking why, but couldn't find one, and didnt have time to look. Anyway, it's really ho...

Don't go to Dolland and Aitchison, they are the worst of the lot, in my experience.

I disagree. I'm with D&A and found them nothing but helpful and the staff are really nice.
