Sun-Tan or Pale-And-Interesting?

Inspired by current posts such as "big busts or bums?", here's one that I've been pondering about a fair while. What do people prefer the look of: a sun-tan, or pale, milky skin? I am meaning purely on an asthetic level: I'm aware of the whole dangers of sun exposure etc, so lets ignore that factor ...

Re:

I saw that tango advert yesterday. I was utterly spell-bound wondering what the heck was going on. I couldn't cope with the thought of all that lovely fruit being destroyed. Certainly grabbed my attention anyway. And I rather like the surfing car. Couldn't tell you what make it was though, so I supp...

Re:

Often the games which are the most fun are really silly ones you play when you're little. It's like a kind of regression thing, and everybody has so much fun. When I was at my 1st year party, and at the one I went to as an adult, such games included pass-the-parcel. A silly thing was wrapped up but ...

Re:

I took my GHDs to America once. Obviously you need an adaptor. They took a little bit longer to reach top temperature, and as you used them they would drop a bit below it again, but all you need to do is just pause for a few seconds when ever the light indicates it's a bit under top temperature unti...

Re:

Well, obviously academic parenting has it's own individual traditions that are passed down the generations, but differ between families. Things you did and enjoyed with your parents will likely differ from the things I liked about my parenting. So here's a summary of my academic parenting experience...

Re:

So many annoying ads to choose from . . . There's one at the moment with a big fat old guy with a moustache saying "Have you been injured . . . " No, but I bet you could arrange it for me thanks. "They're going to taste greeeeeate!" from the Frosties people which seems to be on constantly at the mom...

Re:

BL2106 didn't exist when I was doing my 2nd year biology, but it sounds a lot like Comparative Biology which I did do. I was really disappointed with the mark I got and I think I got something very similar to what you are quoting. I have a feeling it was 10.9 or similar. I had gone into the exam fee...

Re:

You know, not that long ago, if an underaged/unmarried girl became pregnant, she'd have the baby removed, against the mother's will, from her and put up for adoption as soon as it was born, and the mother was thrown in an insane asylum as they'd be assumed to be insane for allowing themselves to hav...

Re:

You know, (and this is not making a point, but merely an intweeging fact) when my parents were young, people (well, women anyway) were not allowed to be given The Pill unless they were married, because the understanding was that non-married people shouldn't/wouldn't have sex. My mother tells me that...

Re:

Eeek! That sounds horrendous. Those 2 moduels were entirely seperate whe I was in 2nd year. I did Comparative Biology. Which still had a lot of physiology in it. I was actually really confident when I went into that exam, only to be completely dumbfounded by the exam questions. In fact, I recall tha...

Re:

Is it really possible to charge the boy with rape when he is under-aged as well? Surely, technically, he was "raped" too. Would he still be done for it if the age gap was smaller? Would she be being done for rape if the ages were the other way around?

Re:

Never have I hated a character more than Katya. I can't believe how damn holier-than-thou and self-righteous she's being about everything considering she's the one who beat up her sister, ran away, and refused to have anything to do with her family even when the kids begged her to come, and her Dad ...

Once when finally getting it on with a friend I had fancied for ages, in the middle of it all, they couldn't stop laughing at a Homestar Runner quote that had just popped into their head and wouldn't go away. Things got worse from there when we somehow started discussing the uselessness of President...
