Quoting novium from 13:50, 15th Jun 2007 Well, my advisor at home told me to never accept an offer of a place in a grad program if the program wasn't willing or able to take me. That means, not willing or able to basically waive tuition, provide housing and a stipend. It's kind of an indentured ser...

Quoting LonelyPilgrim from 22:39, 14th Jun 2007 In most subjects, PhD's are only pursued by persons wishing to go into academia in the US. People wanting a degree that will put them at the top of their professional careers don't usually go much beyond an MA, in most fields. In one example which per...

Girl, interrupted

Quoting amac from 13:43, 9th Jun 2007
What does it mean when the status is ' Interrupted - to Graduate'. What the hell was interrupted?

I think it's normal. I think your "full time student status" is interrupted. ALthough that sounds odd....

No, it's not about appealing a grade. It would (in my case) concern something else.

She had her driving license taken away from her, ordered to take part in an "alcohol education program", put on 36 month probation and fined $1500 (which is far less than what she earns in an evening...). She then oddly (no br...

I have a deadline on Monday and some of the most important information for that is online in a .zip file. I don't have internet in my flat and none of my friends have a printer, so I'll have to use a uni classroom PC. However, it always says "StuffIt Expander- Error or Warning: The data read from th...
