However, please do not imply that I place a different value on the lives lost through terrorism vs. those lost as a result of a natural disaster. This simply isn’t true.

Both the tsunami and 9/11 are unspeakably awful events.

The point Rrrr seems to miss is that 9/11 was a human-inflicted attack, carried out to deliberately maximise human capital.

The tsunami is terrifying in a different way as it is completely beyond our control.
