Given that we have no hall common room yet and it's so far out of town I think it's unfair of them to give these restrictions. Partys here are the only way I've gotten to meet people outside my flat in DRA. I know they're not stopping people from having them but it's going to put a lot of people off...

You could try asking @ the university travel service (1st floor of the union). They might be able to give you more of an idea.
