Inter-Residence Volleyball

The inter-resident sports competitions have begun again and next Tuesday (1st November) is the male volleyball competition. Anyone who wants to play can you please e-mail me at gc16. We need a team of at least 6 and you can't be a member of the 1st team for volleyball (if there is one). The competit...

Re:

Quoting griggsy from 18:12, 7th Oct 2005 I think Ben's implying the staff that work in the bistro, reception etc. Are you seriously suggesting that the DRA bar pays for the receptionists? Above all that do you honestly think that the extra 60p on pints can all be justified and none is just the usua...

Re:

Quoting dra senior student from 14:17, 7th Oct 2005 The prices in the DRA bar are higher because they have to have extra staff on top of those working in the Union. It's only for residents and their guests, so it's just an added luxury for DRA. While i can accept that the bar is just a luxury, your...

DRA Bar

How come the DRA bar is much more expensive than the union. Do they get pack horses to ship the beer from the union to the facilities building or something?

And how small is Steve the barman, he can barely see over the bar. Tis mildly commical.

Modern History Honours Advising

Does anyone konw when advising is for junior honours modern history? I need to know because the later it is the longer I can stay at home and work and make more money and that means more gambling. And more beer. But mainly more gambling.

Re:

Why do we have to have either the royals or a president? Why can't we just get rid of the royals and carry on as we are? There is no world law that demands we have a head of state so the excuse that the queen is better than a president, is in my opinion a big pile of pish.

Re:

I thought REM were poor. They did not play a good selection of songs, they only played one off Green - probably their best album in my opinion - and one off Document and most annoyingly again failed to play anything off Chronic Town which is a supreme album. They almost made up for it by playing Fin...

Re:

That is a quality picture. I agree entirely with the sentiment.

Scott MacDonald is now alongside the Dunfermline team that let us win 6-1 on the last day of the season in the Official Rangers Hall of Fame.

Re:

There are 6 beeps. I think they are long beeps.
Shouting at my computer for long periods has not motivated it to work.
Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

Quoting amac from 00:15, 8th May 2005 Can I have the balloon then? Certainly. You are also entitled to a nice hat, I suggest a red one, they go with everything. And flarewanker, what are you really going to do? Get daddy to sue me or maybe mummy might write me a threatening letter. I have pencils t...

Re:

What a load of bollocks. Just the usual sour grapes from the Conservatives trying to clutch at straws to demonstrate how they were 'robbed'. The other side of this is that if Labour or the Liberals hadn't lost votes to each other then gits like Oliver Letwin might not have got in.

Re:

Quoting Paul from 21:56, 4th May 2005 Democracy is not the Biblical form of government. It is a fact that "wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:" - Matthew 7:13. Pardon me if I am wrong, and I probably am, but didn't you say Paul...
