Re:

I live in the Gatty and I have a really bad habit of getting pissed very late at night and walking along the East Sands to get home from town. I've seen some really odd things down on the sands between the pier and the Gatty. I've seen odd candle looking lights out in the waves and on the beach, and...

Re:

If these tests are meaningless, then why do them at all? Someone must be taking them seriously. In fact, I'm sure someone's got a heafty grant to conduct the research. I would think that the scientists are taking it seriously, so why wouldn't other mindless drones (or car insurance companies) take i...

Re:

This is the most pointless, idiotic test ever conducted. Not only does it serve no purpose other than to claim that women are genetically incapable to park cars, but it's misogynistic and also reminiscent of urban legend. "...in men a long ring finger and symmetrical hands are an indication of ferti...

What everyone has failed to mention is that ecstasy works by altering serotonin levels in the brain, which is not healthy and over time (much like binge drinkers) can cause brain damage. Plus there is more and more research showing a link between early set Parkinson's and E. As far as people dying: ...

Finding a Flat in UK

I'm a first year postgraduate living in Halls, and I'm planning on getting my own flat next fall. I've recently been informed that I have to put my name on some sort of list in February to get a flat in September. As I'm an American, I'm completely baffled by the idea that I can't just open the clas...

Re:

I have no idea what's going on in Gannochy. And honestly, I'd avoid that dump if at all possible. As far as the original question: I think it depends on which English M.Litt. degree you are doing. I understand that the research M.Litt.s do a lot more work (essays and presentations) than the Creative...

A banking sector that is so strong because it's tied to the pound. And if basing an economy on a nonrenewable resource like oil seems like a good idea, it's best to have a chat with the Gulf Sates of the US. They had a great time with that in the 80's... and it's still working well.

Re:

Explaining: Or do we want to be seen as an independent county, impoverished and unable to address it's needs? Can Scotland exist with out being a part of the UK? We've been one country for several centuries. It's all fine and dandy to say that we should be independent, but unemployment here is at a ...
