Thank you to everyone who helped with the first round of the Courier competition, particularly those who stepped in ...

Re:

When polishing all the silverware in LPH before the Courier final we found a cup for the student-alumni debating competition or something like that. Does anyone know anything about it?

Congratulations

Congratulations to Tom Cahn, the new SSC Debates Officer. Commiserations to Chris, it looks like it was a very close race with two strong candidates. All the best to Tom for the next year!

Re:

This probably means the unions are planning another 2 48 hour strikes. According to http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/6433343.stm the RMT are meeting this afternoon to discuss further strikes. There's nothing to suggest that the strikes will continue over the weekend. See you at 7.15!

Quoting Kizzy from 11:09, 8th Dec 2006
Quoting Sally from 10:32, 8th Dec 2006
The motions are all fun and IR related.

You say that now...

Yeah, but if I describe them as evil IR motions (as if you'd set nasty motions...) I'll probably end up having to go to more rounds.
