it's this friday, but you can still raise money for ages afterwards. me and folk in our hall are cooking dinner for folks who make a donation to the charity fund and if we raise over £100 we get to throw pies at two residents who have [been] volunteered. if we manage to raise over £150 the girls who...

Re:

as far as i know, the reasons behind this 'uncouth behaviour' that you refer to, is the stringent measures implemented by the university since the start of all this fire-strike business. lower parliament hall is a building of great history and i think, despite this being absolutely no excuse for rud...

getting high?

did anybody see yesterday's debate (titled: this house would get high)? i missed it, but i did see the rector slightly earlier in the evening looking rather, 'unsteady' shall i say, on his feet. so how was it? did he provide a good argument for the proposition? any scandal?

Dancin'

Yeah, the University has plenty of opportunities for dancing. The dance society provides classes for all abilities (elephants to swans) in tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, irish, and sometimes flamenco. All these classes take place in the sports centre, where there's a mirror and bar, etc. ...

FANCY DRESS

With Hallowe'en coming up, I was wondering if anyone has any clue where the nearest fancy dress store is? Or is it just a case of everyone turning up to parties wearing the same devil's horns from Birthdays?

pg events

Don't worry, postgrads do get to go to balls and suchlike.... They aren't as exclusive as some undergraduates would like to think they are! I'm a postgrad and have been to tons of events....

Room hire for Parties

Hi there,

Just wondering if anybody can recommend places that are relatively cheap to hire out for parties. I really have no clue where to start and it's a friend's birthday next week!

Parties? Help!

Hi there,

Just wondering if anybody could recommend a cheap, yet nice place which can be rented out for parties in St. Andrews. It's my friend's birthday next week and I have no clue where we can hold such an event.
