Two scottish MSPs have tabled a last minute amendment which will give power to local authorities in Scotland to put quotas on the numbers of HMOs issued in their respective towns. This is a national motion, with serious implications for St Andrews, Edinburgh an...

Re:

I managed to get one charge back last semester for £30. For some silly reason, I have had another two charges since then and they have so far refused to refund them after I sent a polite letter requesting refunding. Looks like I will have to get more serious.

Re:

What is wrong with liking Pimms? It's a refreshing, nice, different summer drink that makes a change from beer. As for Butler wraps, a 'hearty stopper' wrap at £2.50 is the same price as a 6 inch subway (unless you get subway of the day) and the ingredients is fresher, more filling and it's a nicer ...

I am under the impression (from two seperate sources) that all the estate agents know each other, and all raised the benchmark for prices together, cos they know that they can get away with this. Barbara in Aikmans told me that a certain estate agent in town sent a letter to all the others and priv...

Yes you can do that apparently - it's more the principle thats made me angry to be honest. We were explicity told to buy one each and now it transpires that theyve had an informal arrangement for the last couple of years. Why could they not have told us this when we moved in rather than four months ...

DRA TV Licenses

Hi Has anyone else had the email about TV licenses telling us that actually you only need one license per flat? In the welcome package it clearly states each member needs their own license. Our flat has five licenses, so weve spent £100 each when actually we only need to have spent £20 each. Shame D...

The circle line pub crawl is ace - I did it for my 18th Birthday but its pretty pricey if you want to finish the entire thing (around £40) and you need to start as early as possible. My favourite central london pub is the Met Bar right outside Baker Street station (turn right and its there). Its a w...
