Re: Saintmail-your thoughts

I haven't switched to Saintmail because I am a research student, and there was a disclaimer that research students should perhaps not sign up to it because with the way Google stores and searches all private data (thus making it no longer truly private) it cannot be guaranteed that the content can ...

Living in the room next to the toilet

I'm wondering if anyone other people living in Fife Park get the luxary of hearing their flatmates bowl movements at odd times in morning? It's nice to hear someone reliving themselves and be reminded that they are only meters away from you through the wall. Anyone devised a strategy to combat this?

Re: Bartending??

The union pay is not quite as bad as it used to be from what I've heard, infact it's pretty good (£6.50 an hour).

Re: Buddhist Society

Is this still happening? I made my way to samye ling temple over the summer and I've really been drawn into the buddist culture. Was there a facebook group? I can't see it.

Re: Mail deliveries STOPPED

Umm, I'm lazy and don't care. I hate the postman waking me up on Saturday morning.

Indeed, there appears to be such a thing already. ;)

I thought so, but I wasn't sure if it was just something med students use.

Re: Buddhist Society

Ouch, empty response.

I'm not a Buddhist, but I appreciate the Buddhist way of life. I'm sure there are plenty more like me. For real Buddhists, why not search St Andrews facebook?

Re: So, how'd it go?

After successfully fucking up my 07/08 session in St Andrews I'm rather keen to see if my second attempt at second year is bearing any fruit. I've changed from Computer Science to Philosophy as it is a lot more... well easy. I wish they'd release the bloody results already.

Re: What goes on at the meetings?

I'm a bit of a closet anime fan. Regularly watch bleach / naruto / studio ghibli films. When does the society restart next semester?

inpatiently awaiting results

I've been at St Andrews for three years now so I really should know better, but does anyone remember when typically the philosophy department release their results? Is it different for each year or do they let them all out on the same date? I hope I don't have to wait till February the 4th. The anti...

Re: Did Extraterrestrials Attend Barack Obama's Inauguration?

Why do UFO's all have to come from Space? Could just be Russia wanting a front row seat ;) (I don't seriously support that theory)

Re: how do i transfer files from one computer to another?

Obvious solution is to use a usb stick or external hard drive. Slightly more tricky but useful approach is to use a Ethernet crossover cable and get file sharing setup which I think is what you are trying to do. Sorry to be lazy but setting this up is slightly different on each OS so google is your ...

Re: Computer Problem

What CPU does your laptop have? Mine is a SI-40 Sempro and they run hot normally (75 to 85 degrees normally, peaks at 92!). Pretty shit as it makes the laptop too hot to put on your lap. Also if I leave it on my bed for 20 minutes covering over the vents the laptop will shut down from overheating. I...
