New Paintball Site near St Andrews - Fife Wargames

Hello, I've recently started a new paintball and airsoft site in Crail, and was wondering if there are any Sinners lurking around over the summer who would like to play a game? Our next game day is on August 28th. take a look at http://www.fifewargames.com for more info. Oli Thackary Admin

Re: University email names.

They are aliases. You can apply for them, and I don't think they're restricting to just staff.

Re: University of St Andrews on iTunes

I don't think the whole lot would be available to the world. Information could be restricted by login, surely? Are you a St Andrews student? Yes? Here's the info. No? Sorry, you can't have it. Makes a lot of sense, although will potentially cut down on the contact time you could have with your lectu...

Re: BNP gains 2 seats and UKIP gains 13 in EU

As far as I'm aware, the Union hasn't had to deal with YBNP or another similar group asking to affiliate, so we can't or shouldn't speculate whether the Union would or wouldn't affiliate them.

Re: Best Steak in Town?

The steak from supermarkets is not as tasty as that from Bridges on South St. For the simple reason that it hasn't been dead quite as long. That, and the supermarket meat isn't hung whole; it's butchered, vacuum packed and then kept for the minimum 21 days. Buy from the butcher's - it does cost more...

Re: Facebook quizzes...

I block all applications and hide all quizzes. I also password-protect my Twitter feed.

I am not annoyed by any of these things. I wonder if there is a connection?

Re: Party Tonight

To avoid putting my address freely available on the internet, I've updated my Facebook profile with directions. If you can't access that, email me on admin@thesinner.net with your name and number and I'll call you with directions. Bring a little food and drink to add to what we've got here already. ...

Oh, and fireworks. There'll be fireworks.

Only two, but they're bigguns.

Re: Party Tonight

Hope it was a good party - I've only just found out about it, so unfortunately didn't make it. I'm having a barbecue tomorrow, to which all good people are welcome. A variety of home made burgers and home smoked lamb shoulder will be on offer while it lasts. Oh, and half a salmon. If you'd like to b...

Re: Swine flu

Can we start with the pig-puns yet?

Some students in St Andrews have suspected cases - they're breaking out in rashers.

People are treating this like the Aporkalypse.

Re: On the Rocks

I really enjoyed the films at Halfcut, and I agree with an earlier post that the films should merit the awards, even if they some were by the same director(s). Paul - I suspect that while there may be a lull in student film production for a year while the new guys find their feet, I think there will...

Re: What are you listening to?

1. Madeleine Peyroux's new album, Bare Bones 2. Loads of stuff via hypem.com (favourites include Yuksek remixes and Champs-Elysees by Joe Dassin) 3. All the music that I have had stored on my external HDD but not had access to for about 3 months (Tim Minchin and Ting Tings feature highly in the rece...

Re: Mornington Crescent, Round 2

You'll have to get up earlier than 7:05 on a Sunday to use the Parkinsonian sashé to skip a turn, young Doug. In rememberance of Sir Clement, I shall flagrantly flaunt the no alcohol rules of the tube and take a nip of whisky on my way to Embankment, although this does limit the next move to KingsCr...

Re: The KK - Is this the end for our intrepid duo (and some)??!

In the Procession, Kate is traditionally played by a first year member of the Kate Kennedy Club (the Procession Committee invites him to take the role). The costumes for the rest of the Procession are a fixed size, so participants are limited by size/shape etc. The costumes themselves are pretty exp...

You're really not getting this, are you, Thackary? It's not the same as saying that, because those don't contain any of the same words. It's only a fair comparison if it's:

No, I do get it; I just didn't pick a suitable simile. Yours were much better.

Re: The KK - Is this the end for our intrepid duo (and some)??!

Haha, I meant that we don't need to discuss democracy! Having just read the motion to the SRC, I'm not sure it really makes sense. Withdrawing support and participation from an all inclusive celebration of the University because you disagree with a separate group's membership policy? It's like sayin...
