Re:

Quoting Timata from 20:30, 11th Sep 2008 I think it was a Wednesday, and I think it was ST:DS9) It was a Tuesday. A beautiful, bright, cloudless Indian summer Tuesday. I had the morning news on, flipping between The Today Show and Good Morning America, wondering about whether the Stock Market would...

Re:

What's the gossip around town as to who HAS been nominated? Not, "I like this person" and "I might write to that person", but "I got 20 people to sign the nomination form and handed it into Mrs. Lorraine Fraser."

Re:

Come off it. That is the same exact reaction every single athlete in the entire Games is reacting when they win the gold. And that finish was SPECTACULAR! The cameras are focusing on Phelps (including long range mics) so of course it looks like he's roaring more than others (because, quite literally...

Re:

In response to those that think Two Face didn't kill enough people to be a proper villian: that is the point of Two Face. He is sometimes evil and sometimes good. The character is not supposed to be FULLY evil. And I will now have to google this, but I swear Rachel Dawes becomes one of the Joker's c...

Re:

Besides misspelling St Andrews, they suggest that at the very moment you opened the e-mail, you had to click the link or else there would consequences. How could these bad things happen "immediately" after you failed to act-- was there no length of time you have to act?

Re:

Also see Sotheby's and Christie's famous case-- they wrote about it in their journals! Note to self: if you're going to fix prices and/or enact in other crimes, don't detail the plans in your journal, write down the date, times and location you met with the competitor in your journal, or keep a damn...

Re:

I think Beyonce's and Oliver Platt's faces are just perfect in their photo. Lyle is a non-entity, the background, wallpaper. But Beyonce's expression of "what the hell am I doing here" looking straight at the camera perfectly compliments Platt's "I've got a scheme up my sleeve". Some seem too staged...

Re:

I forget if I had a different color wristband, but I know that by wearing the work T-shirt, I could avoid the crowds and use good short cuts by going behind the vendor tents and through the emergency vehicle area. They do make you sign a contract when you arrive saying they can throw you out for not...

Re:

Work at the festivals through Workers Beer Company (if they still have the contract)-- basically wooly leftists get in for free in exchange of four hours work a day-- not bad. You miss one headliner show, work one afternoon shift, and work one early evening shift over the three days.

Re:

The noon thing isn't a rule in the US. I found out the noon rule one April Fools when I told some friends I was pregnant-- since it was after noon they freaked out.
I still laugh about it.

Re:

Isn't Sound-UK the one that Bruce's ears bleed just by their name being mentioned? I think so.

If your ever looking for sound guys, Bruce has the phone numbers of companies that are reputable. Why go on one's own?

Re:

Rule of thumb for every such situation: whatever they told you to call them. Seriously, everyone introduces themselves at some point, is it so hard to remember how they called themselves?
