Re:

Nice to hear from you after all this time, Samus. Yes, I did graduate. I'm out and back in London now. Life isn't rosy for me at the moment. I think you and Porkov have the best lots out of all of us 'old-timers'. It surprises me how long it took to 'track' everyone down online. I only found out ear...

Re:

Congratulations on finding a new, permanent room. It's good to see the fortunes of Project Anime rising after being so swamped in the mire for so long. You might want to consider showing a newer series next term, like Mai Hime, Mai Otome, Princess Tutu or Fate Stay Night. Give it some thought. If yo...

Re:

Well I have found out some more information. Apparently it is the UK (Region 2) release of Laputa - Castle in the Sky, that has dubtitles. This problem does not occur in the USA (Region 1) release, which is what I have. [hr] I've always had my suspicions you were no mere mortal. But I never imagined...

*looks on in shock* Uh... this is news to me. I knew they changed the soundtrack, but the new music doesn't show on the Japanese track. At least I don't remember it doing so. Ironically, I was thinking yesterday about watching my Laputa DVD again today. *blinks repeatedly* Okay, I think I'm going to...

Re:

stupid Disney? I think the picture quality was decent, as were the subtitles. The dub is awful (I'm a Streamline version fan), but since I almost always never listen to dubs, that doesn't matter to me. What was the sticking point for you, for the Laputa DVD? Re:

You never asked the previous committee during the AGM? Well, that aside, it is a crushing blow to the society. As I recall, we've been having this problem since Porkov's latter years as da Pres. The Salad Bowl is truly a boon visited on those societies quick enough to book it up. The importance of t...

Re:

GiTS is a bit interesting. Probably not enough to make me buy it on DVD when it comes out. Nice animation in some parts, confusing plot until it wraps itself up at the end, good action scenes where required. There is no "unfortunate" in my books when it comes to philosophy in anime. In fact, I think...
