Re:

I've been bopping for like 7 years (and proud to admit it) and I think what people want to do at the bop is have a laugh and dance to some decent cheese. However, cheese is slowly being replaced with repetitive garbage recently - though IMHO music has gone downhill since the 90s... I think its the m...

Quiche-eating explained

They (mr melville and my girlfriend)knew each other from years ago- its a 1990s geography-geology teasing insult. Apparently. Tis true. There was a time in the 90s when Geologist's (when you could do an actual Geology degree in Stan Drews) used to label the Geographers as 'quiche-eaters' (basically...

True, Babydyke is a fit lesbian (I do know her). She is also quite feisty but her girlfriend eats quiche.

Re:

I thought it was illegal for them to charge top up fees for undergrads til 2006 - if they wanted to before then they would have to move from been state funded to completely private? I don't think they would start charging top up fees to those half way through anyway. When I came here in 1997, I was ...

WHAT THE HELL DID YOU BUY!?! It wasn't cheap by any means but it wasn't THAT much! You must have got 3 quadrouple vodka & cokes or something! No, it was only 2 doubles and a triple (one without mixer) i think. Me and my social group don't believe in buying singles... Even so, 17.50 for that was qui...

Re:

Yeah, it was a good ball. I went with an old flatmate who is up visiting and we had a great time. The only fly in the ointment was those drinks prices, which were a little restrictive. Can you not subsidise the bar next time? We in Melville are going to do that this year - and if we can do that with...

Wow, is the chunder bus still going? I honestly haven't heard of it since early 1998. I guess my funniest memory of st andrews in the old days happened in the Melville Ball during the 97-98 session. Buzzboy

I don't really want to get into a long and drawn out argument on religion, but I feel I should least try and back up my previous post. A minister is there to offer a pastoral role to his congregation and offer spiritual support and counselling to his people. If they have no single doctrine and every...

Geez... I'm in 6th year and you guys make me feel young! Keep talking! I haven't heard of it since....

I agree with Comedy. It sounds more like an organisation exploiting a legal loophole - thereby allowing people with no credentials to obtain this "qualification" and use it for fraudulent purposes. How can a church that that accepts any religious or spiritual belief possibly lead its congregation an...

I think what Chris is referring to is serious harassement and bullying - to the extent that life sharing a room with the other person is unbearable. I think we should draw a line between that and two roommates who do not get on. Of course if there is no proof the alleged harasser (if that is a word)...
