Manchester Derby

I realise that most people visiting this site will be utterly indifferent to the goings-on in the premier league, and I myself am no great fan of football-oriented conversations, but as a Manchester City fan I am afraid that I have to gloat somewhere today, and here is as good a place as any - Manch...

Slightly vague, but still: SUPPORTED CHARITIES It would be impossible to list all of the charities, families and individuals who have been donated to by the Kate Kennedy Club since 1926. On average the club aims to raise and donate in the region of £25,000 per year to charity to a multitude of cause...

Re:

Absolutely right, it is a complete disgrace and I think it raises an interesting point. We see students and ex-students highlighting the problem of low pay for staff on the one hand, and on the other we see them moaning about the cost of accommodation and its supposedly poor standards. It is of cour...

If you're that torn between the two, and seeing as no-one else can really decide for you, might I suggest flipping a coin? Or tarot cards perhaps. Maybe you could even ask punxsutawney phil. The only other constructive thing I can add, having only done modern languages and neither of the other two, ...

Re:

Kind of interesting isn't it? Kate Bush seems to have jumped on this protest bandwagon as well. Hmm, I wonder, if the rent protest manages to succeed and students keep their subsidised rents, then does that mean the staff of the university still get a pay rise? I somewhat doubt it. I did actually co...

I suppose as a graduate most people who read this are going to immediately disregard my opinion, but I have to say that some of the hysterical attitudes I have seen on this and other threads as regards the rent increases rather disgust me. Granted, for a one-time rent increase this one is fairly ast...

Erm. Normally when people do kind of thing to revamp a site, I like to be as positive as possible because I realise that someone has spent an awful lot of time and effort trying to improve things, and it is unhelpful of me to tear it down. That said, the colour scheme is more than a little reminisce...

I did SOCRATES in Germany and lived to tell the tale. My sister is also doing SOCRATES in France and also enjoying it (although she is at Sheffield and things are organised differently there.) I did of course mean "part-ex", not "pert-ex" as previously stated. I am sure everyone is interested in the latter.
