fear of flying - drugs and other therapies

Has anyone had a prescription because they were scared of flying, did it work? Also what's the strongest drug you can get prescribed? How about any other therapies, like hypnotherapy? Or anything else to make you feel better. I really don't want to fly and have managed to get to far off places without the need, however because of this placement I have I need to go on a 12 hour flight :S.

Do you seriously freak out when flying? I'm so used to it by now it bores the hell out of me. Some kind of sedative should be available if you think it's going to make you run for the airlock, but otherwise most people take a deep breath, maybe grab a whisky at the bar and deal with it.
