i've found this website extremely helpful and since i am heading to saint andrews next year i guess i am lucky to have found out about this before heading there, could really help me get started.

i need your help people! from where i come(asia), saint andrews is not a well-known college, people here don't compare saint andrews with the likes of oxford, cambridge or even LSE. i would like just like to reassure myself that saint andrews is a reputable school therefore i seek opinion from students or alumni of saint andrews on its international reputation as i believe this would be important when it comes to job interviews.

so please give your 2cents worth. thank you and merry christmas!

don't worry, you're in safe hands... just check the gaurdian, times, independent newspaper league tables + the recent RAE assessment if you need reassurance..

I'd be interested to know to which University the person who programmed the sorting algorithm in that table went to. Instant 1 place relegation, I reckon. Try sorting a field other than the rankings, then sort the rankings. It sorts the fields alphabetically rather than numerically. (I'm bored).

There is a serious point to this though. Mess around with sorting the columns. St Andrews is visible in the top few (and in one place top) in almost every field that actually means anything (why exactly does spend per student mean anything? Surely it should be a negative factor, if anything. If St Andrews can get a higher student satisfaction when teaching with a mediocre budget surely this is a plus point if anything, but certainly not negative...)
I'm not a large water-dwelling mammal Where did you get that preposterous hypothesis? Did Steve
