How much is it? And, why can't I find out about it anywhere on the uni or union homepage?

It's £10. It's nothing to do with the Uni so that is why you couldn't find anything about it on the university website.

lifetime membership is an honorary thing, not something you can buy..

Er, that would be Honorary Life Membership. Life Membership can be bought.
