I lost a cheque

I know it is stupid. I feel sorry for myself. But I still want to ask for adive in the slightest hope.

I got a cheque paying my deposit back from previous landlord, £180. I did not get it paid until I have lost it. Is there any way possible for me to get the money back? e.g. on the fact that I had not yet been paid back for my deposit

Report it lost to whoever you got it from. If it's not yet come off their account, they may choose to stop it and issue you a replacement, but they might ask to wait 6 months from the date of the first cheque in case someone else finds it and cashes it. If the issuer is a business, they might deduct their bank charges and an admin fee for stopping the first cheque and issuing a duplicate.
