Can some tell me who I should complain to about incompetence from "Your Unions" bouncers?

I went in, realised I had no money so went to the bank machine, tried to go back in only to be told I was "too drunk"...

I tried to argue my case, and can have people argue how sober I was at the time...but the bouncer was having none of it...

Had too walk home on my own...and it was only half 11...the incompetence of the bouncer cut short what was a very good night...ruining my St. Patricks day celebration...

You can complain to the union but it is likely to make little diference. The door stewards are there to maintain a healthy enviroment inside. The owners have a responsibility not to let drunk people have more drink etc. if you were too drunk then stop winging. If you were not, then tuff luck, shit happens, live with it.

well ast night in all fairness Saltire Haven did just that, i saw several people being escorted away

Was he wearing black or blue top???

Black tops are S3 and you basically moan to the head of their company.

Blue are union and you would need to moan to....well......id dunno who!!!

Phil is head of union security but I don't know if you should complain to him . He is not likely to listen

I know you shouldn't have to do this, but it's usually a safe bet to leave from the front door and say to the bouncers on your way past 'Just going to the cash machine mate, be back in a second' - works every time.

Be fair to the guys on the door, they are just doing a job. If they thought u were too drunk and wouldnt let you back in then chances are that arguing with them is only going to confirm their suspicions...
If someone had been let in that was drunk and they caused a scene or was sick on someone (not saying you would by the way) then there would be a massive thread complaining about the fact that the S3 guys had let them in. just learn to take enough money in with you to begin with :-p

It may seem unfair but the bouncers have 2 very important jobs to do....

1. Make sure drunks aren't allowed in...

2. Stand there looking HOT!

S3 may not be the best, but but they aren't anything like as shit as the last lot that did it, they were so bad i've forgotten theyre name.

All this is more reason for the Union Bar to accept cards and/or give cashback. The Union is the ONLY place I ever go that I need to withdraw money for. Get with the programme. Don't bullshit on about time, cos it takes longer to go outside with the prospect of not getting back in, or cost, Lafferty's did it (until they closed, to re-open under new management) and they were cheaper than the union.

These threads seems to be occuring more often. I feel i should defend my collegues but i cant really be bothered.
At the end of the day if the steward standing on the door deems you unsuitable then he or she will refuse you entry to the venue. Most commonly this is as a result of having had too much to drink. The licensing act that regulates pubs/clubs/members clubs states that it is against licensing conditions for people to enter or be inside whom are intoxicated. This sounds silly but ironically its the law!
People who work on doors have a hard job, the union does operate a non discriminatory door policy however will reserve the right to refuse entry at the discretion of the supervisor/house manager on duty. As someone else said its best to just say to the folk at the door that your popping out for cash and will be back shortly. As for walking home on your own at 11pm, this was not your only option, firstly contact a friend to walk back with, secondly you say you went to get cash, then why not get a taxi? I cannot see how you were forced to walk home alone.
In the future if you feel you have been treated badly take the badge number (starts with an S or T then three digits) of the steward you are not happy with and the following day make a complaint to the house manager who will inturn pass the details to a supervisor.

He's right you know, at the end of the day, the bouncer is the sober one with a job to do and you are likely to be the intoxicated one with the sole mission of getting more so. Yeah it sucks, but after all its just one night, there's no point crying over it.
