MSc Finance

Postby austrianguy on Wed Aug 10, 2005 12:37 pm

Hello
I am an Austrian student who seeks some advice concerning choosing a course for fall 2005/2006. I have a couple of offers (exeter, durham, city univ.), but I had a close look at St. Andrews. Does any body have some experiences about the teaching quality and life as a Post Grad student. I want to pursue a PhD afterwards too. So I really want to be sure to choose the right university. Concerning accom. ...will there be any problems...on campus ..i will decide in the next two weeks what i am going to do ...

thx for your answers

You should probably ask just how well the MSc in Finance prepares you for a PhD...

In the UK, taught postgraduate courses often do not have the same status as a research course in terms of preparing the student for further study.
