Ordinary Life Memberships

Where and for how much can these be bought?
Does one need to have graduated first?

Is there a subscription or something?

Pop into the General Office where they'll tell you to pay £10 to the Cash Office first, if you want a life membership. I think you do need to graduate first (as you're an ordinary member now, as a matriculated student). They do check to see whether you have graduated when you go to the Cash Office.
For those randoms that you probably know who didn't graduate yet still have a life membership, they were probably granted honourary life memberships or he's a certain ents crew member who is so integrated into/important to/always around the Union that noone ever questions him.
Ummm, I should learn these rules by heart, shouldn't I? Will do after the 10,000 words are done.

Ordinary life memberships are available to anyone who is a member of the University General Council so this includes people who have received qualification awarded by the University Senate. The exact guidelines should be available in the general office. I think you will need a photo of yourself too.

Once you've paid the ten pounds they'll make you sit on a little stool in the general office and someone will take your photo with an ancient-looking machine. This then makes the life memebership card which has your name, photo and former matric number on it.

Jolly useful thing to have for the odd bop or two . . .

When you say matriculated 3 times you mean you have been here for three years or do you mean you basically have restarted first year three times lol?
