You could always get hold of that fabulous double-page spread from the Saint, a while back, or the equally wonderful piece in the Chihuahua.

Amen to that, Brother. Best tea shop in St Andrews is the Coffee House for choice, for kick-ass teashop atmosphere, the Ladyhead bookshop. That's the sort of clientele that ought to inhabit a teashop.

I love Taste, the coffee at Gateway is great and Westport, Ma Bells and the Vic all also make good coffee. Although Westport is ridiculously expensive. I hate the interior (the walls and that ridiculous backyard) at Costa. But how does that chick manage to deepfreeze her smile for the entire day? And what I am always wondering and don't get at all: Why, in a coast town with such beautiful beaches is there NO coffee shop with sea/ ocean/ beach view???? Well, you could sit outside at Catch, but that's about it. I think that really sucks.

The Ladyhead all the way. That place seems to charge about half of what other coffee places do.

I used to like Inn Town at the Merchant House on south street. Cool ceiling, expensive coffee. Sadly it is no more - gather it is now a house

I like Janettas, you get a bit of fudge or tablet with your coffee. And The Eating Place can be quite nice for a change - their hot chocolate with all the works is pretty good.

If you can brave the hordes of elderly folk who go there, then St Andrews museum in Kinburn Park does incredibly cheap coffee with free refills.

What about the Old Union coffee shop. I love it in there- the tea, which may I add is fairtrade is only 50p a cup. It's cheap and the place i quiet if you have work to do.

Quick question:

Where are the Ladyhead and The Coffee House?

I'm guessing the Ladyhead is the bookstore across from the North Point... right/wrong?

And is the Coffee House that new place on Market Street... oh no... wait.. that's Rendez-Vous isn't it...

But fairtrade tea tastes so bad.

The Coffee House is on Greyfriars Garden. It sells a good range of coffees, I always pick up Jamaican Blue Mountain for my mum there for Christmas...she has expensive tastes!

Fairtrade coffee tastes morally better than normal coffee.

And I love the atmosphere of the Old Union Coffee Bar - the staff are always really friendly to me.

And all the stuff on the walls! How many photos of rectors are there?

Jamaican Blue Mountain!

The veritable Zeus of coffee.

I didn't know we could get it here.

Thank you :)
