share a cab to the airport?

Postby i hate travel on Tue Nov 26, 2002 11:20 am

I have a 6 am flight out of Edinburgh on Dec 14th, which means I have to get to the airport about 4 am and the last train gets to Waverly about 12:30. Not wanting to spend 6 hours in the airport if I don't have to, is anyone interested in sharing a cab?

I know a friend who is also going in early. I'll ask him. Anyone for getting there on the 14th about noonish?
In America they think 100 years is old and in Britain they think 100 miles is far.

I think people would be more willing to share a cab if you were to put your real name to the post.

There is a time and a place for anonymity, and this isn't it.

I'm on the same flight I think, or at least one at a similar time. I was planning to go into Edinburgh the night before and stay at a hotel near the airport, so you might want to try that. However, I may end up taking a taxi, and if so, I can let you know if you say what your email is. my st andrews one is mc46.

Sorry everyone, I rarely use my St Andrews email, but you can email me at AmbularC@aol.com. I'm flying Luftansa to Franfurt, I think it's at 6:20 exactly. I thought about a hotel, but I didn't think it was worth it if I had to be at the airport at 4 am anyway.

I'm don't have to be @ EDI Airport that early on the 14th... anybody who wants to share a cab to get there at around 4pm? E-mail me at ak53.

If you don't want to use the St. A's email system, set it to forward your email to your other account. Especially as from this year on, it is assumed that you check it at least every 48 hours during the school year, and notices from lecturers go out through it now.

To set up the mail forwarding system, simply log in to telnet (using pesto.st-and.ac.uk for example)
and type

forwardmymail

Then follow the commands. It really is as easy as that.
