Anyone for a game?

Duke of Wellington's Rules, with double bidding implemented and Aces not high. It's not a leap year, so remember, Bakerloo Line is close for repairs and, as instigating player, I get to start. So, I think, ah . . .

Liverpool Street.

Knightsbridge

Which I believe causes cross-blatter over the Waterloo and City line - if we're using the Lord Suffolk Underdispose contingency, that is.

Finsbury Park East (I was going to go for Forest Gate, but seems that under the Sir Ian Blair vs. Islam rules it is out of bounds in order that some coloured gentlemen with beards can be shot)

Isn't the Waterloo and City line closed until September? If so, that is an unwise move. Assuming that we are playing stovold’s 2nd amendment to the standard convention I will see your Waterloo and raise you... Aldgate East.

I have no other choice but to play Embankment. Is it too early to introduce the King's tissue rule to avoid such problems later on in the game?

King's Cross

Bringing the British Rail Crab Sandwich Parallelogram into play!

Paranoid: Mornington Crescent is a very complicated game, the aim of which is to move around a London underground map until you reach Mornington Crescent (look harder, it's there). The easiest way to learn is to watch others playing and pick it up as you go along.

Using the president of Sir Humphs upside Clapton squared rule from 1965.

A frankly obvious move im supprised no one else has made it yet!

Doesn't that move to King's Cross entail a reverse pass through Tottenham Court Road in the South American style? I only ask because, while that is indeed legal, I assume we all know the dangers of being Brazilian on the Northern Line in contemporary play.

Nevertheless, I'll take your bid and, with delays on Piccadilly, switch to Holborn.

Hereby calling in the Morningside Crescent ammendment (normally reserved for during the Edinburgh Festival, but I feel an exception is allowed under the 1864 clause for altering rules mid-game set down by the Marquis of Beaumont - please see part II[c]);

You've forced me into a corner here. Curse you for not playing with Jemima's Ramparts aloof. I have to go for Kilburn

Do written rules actually exist to this game, or are you, as it would appear to the outside observer, simply making up new ones with each turn? Or is that part of the game? Has confused me, anyway.

And with that first bout of excitement out of the way, I believe I've to start the next round off.

Seeing as there's a south-easterly blowing in, and as we're just after 6pm, I hope no one will grumble with me overlooking the 1992 document "1st, last and always" as I place a bid for:

Baker Street

This calls for a radial tactical strike, by bringing Russell Square into play.
