at the school I've just finished working at the Maths department had a competition to see who could remember the most digits of pi. The prize went to a first year who could remember 152 digits

Pi = 3.14159

When I was exceptionally bored in one of my A-level maths classes I seem to recall calculating that the cube root of 31 was closer to pi than 22/7...how sad
