WOOT =)

Postby wyrd on Sun Feb 09, 2003 5:29 am

Seem to have them now:

PY3001 17, MP2001 (which was the next morning) 16, PY3002 (which was at 9.30am on my birthday and which I've been convincing myself I'd seriously fucked up ever since) 15, and LM1007 (which was the day after my dreaded birthday exam) 16. Woot/phew/etc. :)

gl everyone. I think I'm off to sleep now.

Chemistry-I: 17
<¦-O Thought that had gone quite badly, but I was pleasantly surprised here.

Chemistry-II: 10
Not bad for someone who made half the answers up.

Computer Science: 20
Indeed.

That's my day made. Time to play Iron Savior at high volume, I think.

As we all seem to be gloating about our marks...

Creative Writing: 16
Aspects of Modern Poetry: 16

Not too bad considering I did my final creative writing submission in one night and spent a few hours on the poetry the day before the exam, which incidentally I still don't understand.

Luckily I've been fine tuning my 1337 BS skillz.

Of course, I'm a JYA so I just needed a 7 for the credits to transfer. I don't think the marks even appear on my transcript! HA HA!

Haven't seen you post here much, Anna.

Well done to everyone, anyway.

Nope, not working on mine either.

Webmail is being a pain too. For the past few days it won't let me sign in--keeps telling me my session has expired. Grr.
In America they think 100 years is old and in Britain they think 100 miles is far.

Help

Postby Guest on Sun Feb 09, 2003 5:55 pm

This may be a silly question but, how do you find out where and when the opening lecture for each module is? In the first semester, at advising, you got given a piece of paper that said when the first one was, I've received an email from the economics people saying about this semester, but i can't find any infomation about the others. Any ideas?

Lectures and results

Postby LJ on Sun Feb 09, 2003 6:17 pm

Ok... as for the lectures, you just have to email a lecturer and they should know. I'm 2nd year, and that's what I've had to do with every new set of classes.

The results page was working earlier, but seems to be down at the moment, because I can't get back onto it, and I've not heard anyone that could get on since about lunchtime. Let's just hope they get it sorted out soon!

Most departments put class times and places up on the noticeboards. I've never had to email lecturers to ask.

Yeah, you just have to make the effort to pop into your department before lectures start again (or early Monday morning) and have a look at the timetables on the noticeboards. If there are non up you can always stick your head in to the departmental office and ask.

Wow, I'd have thought that e-mailing your lecturer just because you were too damned lazy to go and look at the notice board would be a bitch slapping offence - obviously not.

The username and password is the same as for the uni e-mail and computers, you get them from IT services.

but probably at this late stage not worth while doing so as you most likly will have failed if you have not been checking your e-mail all year.
