quick question..... help!

does the resnet firewall stop us from going into chatrooms? I'm trying now in Yahoo but it keeps telling me that it can't connect to the server. My friend is waiting for me!

Erm... does anyone know a way around it? Your help would be incredibly greatly recieved.

It does block some web based chatrooms as they use random ports.

Stick your friend on your 'friends' list in yahoo messenger (if you don't have it, download it), right click on his/her name and select 'join user in chat'. If she's in any chatrooms that should take you to him/her.

if it's just chat (ie small file sizes)- just tunnel the firewall, eg with http://www.http-tunnel.com/
