I found the sinner in 2004.

We should resurrect some really ancient threads. A kind of "golden oldies" commemoration.

There also seems to be a period slightly later when the entire posting population seemed to consist of about six people in Melville...

Psalm 91:7

What, myself, you, Tenebrae, Wong, Greebo and co?
Surely not. Although looking back, we were making the majority of posts (largely to lampoon grammar or make poor puns)

I'm a 2004 finder, but didn't join properly until 06, I think...

Anyhow. Where's Paul?

Wasn't 'Republicana' Marco's and my old chum Emma? I remember S used to have some running battles with her at one stage.

No. She hated Republicana and thought that she gave socialism a bad name - at least that is what she told me.

Back since 2001. And it was a lot more fun
[hr]

The whole town was more fun then. Rent was cheaper, pubs were cheaper, there were parties every night of the week that anyone could go to. It was never the same after the Wills effect.

Of course - and I've just remembered who 'she' was - none other than Alex S, posting as an agent provocateur to do exactly that! He never admitted it in public, but he told me one evening later on. Haha! I knew I'd remember eventually :D

I suppose I've been around for a little while, now. Though I'm pretty quiet nowadays. Let's see, I was in first year in 2002 and I guess I started around then, though I reckon I registered early 2003. And what, it'll soon be 2008!

Either way, it was around the time of The Crab.

No, S registered the username Republicana when registration became compulsory. He then posted a few times as republicana to stir it up a little bit.
He was not the republicana of pre registration days.

I joined in 2002 (I think...)...and then went to the first ever Sinner Dinner at Mr. Tickle's place...I remember Oli cooked up a lovely dinner too! I joined when the board used to have mainly Melville residents posting. I did lurk for awhile though before I was brave enough to post. I can't remember how I found this site at all.

It is much quieter (and politer) now then it used to be.

There are more posts than ever on the site, but it may seem quieter, as there are now 34 messageboards (as opposed to about 12 back in 2002) so all the posts will be a little more diluted.

That Sinner Dinner was great fun, and it was really good to meet everyone.
Should we have another?
