No. Please.

For the love of humanity, just don't bring him here.

I think it'd be good, ok he's not my favorite of all time, but would be a good novelty for the bop, I assume that'd be when he'd do it. And lets face it we've not had too many famous people here (in bop) for a while have we!

It could be Cheese & Chesney! lol, again I suprise myself with my witty humor. I know, it's good isn't it! Or Hoorar for Hawkes, ok maybe not that one.

What about SClub(7) - that'd be good, doubt they could be bothered coming here though, and would cost a bomb. Suppose we could ask Sadam to donate one 'to the cause'?

OK enough rambling for this thread, next!.....

He's still touring, but these days making more money from writing songs for other people than from his major hit.
Oh, and looking after his little baby.

My parents apparently once saw him play live at our local Civic hall. His dad was apparently in some 60's band and Chesney was playing backing guitar.
And Oli (sweetie ;7) why do you know such detail about the life of Mr Hawkes?

I heard he gigs but refuses to do "I am the one and only" in order to promote his newer material.. I'm embarassed to say, I think his dad was Chip Hawkes? Too much reading of Guinness Hit Singles..

On the subject of cheese, I just got back from the Thursday night bop (yes, please, no comments) and they failed to play The B52's "Love Shack". Can you believe that??

twas a fantastic bop! FANTASTIC.

[hr]This is very unusual. I've never been alone with a man
before, even with my dress on. With my dress off, it's most unusual.
In America they think 100 years is old and in Britain they think 100 miles is far.

they've covered The Smith's How Soon Is Now, love to hear that one played in the bop.

elesewise, i had a friend at school/6th form who looked just like Chesney Hawkes in his prime.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the bop. Eagle-eyed readers might have spotted me Djing at the front. Oh and if you have bop requests, stick them here and I'll see what I can do next time I'm on.
