anyone know who the manager of ma bells is these days?

Even if I did, it would be pointless. The Golf hotel has been bought over and Mabells is set to be demolished and replaced by underground parking for the hotel. Guess the old golfers are going to have to go elsewhere to buy female students cocktails in the hope of sleeping with them.

I would imagine that Ma Bells will be th entrance for the car park. There is plenty of space under the hotel for a decent sized car park.

It has been taken over by a new company that own lots of hotels around Glasgow and it will shut in summer (along with the hotel upstairs) for about 10 months to be totally revamped into a brand new maBells

It isn't, when you think about it. A hotel, with no parking of its own, yet a pretty terrible bar underneath.

It might not be happening, but it's a good idea, if you ask me.

It would be if it were easy to excavate the rock etc beneath the hotel.

But it's not really

I would imagine there is already a large basement on the same level as Ma Bells, so rock excavation wouldn't be necessary, except perhaps lowering the floor slightly which isn't difficult. Certainly not when dealing with large sums of money.

I doubt they need Ma Bells just for that when there is the Lizard, the Vic and The Rule all offering the same brand of skimpy slag to the OAP golfing fraternity.
