Death: "Don't patronise me."

It's a shame people aren't suggesting things like, say, the Bach Passions, Beethoven's late works, or even something like Mahler's ninth.

Not what you'd actually term "songs" though, are they?

Well, Mahler's 9th was certainly upsetting... Anyway, I'm having a great time looking all these songs up on youtube, especially those I haven't heard in a while or don't know. Have even ordered St Matthew's Passion for Fathers day - cheers for the inspiration! Here's the only piece of music which can make me cry, if I'm in the right (or is that wrong?) mood:
Barber - Adagio for Strings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRMz8fKkG2g (btw I just choose this vid as good performance of the piece)

some other stuff I find moving:
Elgar - Cello Concerto in E minor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5C99JyP2ns
Karen Mathieson - 'Ailein Duinn' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8OXbctQwXA
Radiohead - Exit Music for a Film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdFTNy_UTGU
Nick Drake "Day is Done" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cyv4qB5Aft4

? that's a great album. Maybe they meant the track "Brain Damage" which's not a bad choice.

Well you can't really think of Dark Side of the moon as several tracks, I tend to think of it as one and that it takes you on an Amazing Journey. Hence Why I put down the album name

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

All I really meant to say was that I thought it was a good choice. The lyric "see you on the dark side of the moon" sticks in your head, I had myself semiconviced that was the title of "brain damage" which is why I suggested it :D
