Whats your weird food combo?

Postby flarewearer on Wed Apr 09, 2003 1:04 am

seems most people have a weird food combo that they like... for instance last night i had super noodles served on a crumpet, and i am very partial to a jam and cheese sandwich. What's anyones favourite weird food combo speciality dish?

Chips and ice cream. Don't knock it until you've tried it. And you don't even need to be pregnant to enjoy it.

But I very rarely eat it. But it's the weirdest combo I can think of that I've ever tried and enjoyed.

A cheese, ham, chicken burger, turkey burger, beef, fried egg, crisps and mini pizza sandwich.

makes for quite the meal

hall food often ends up in wierd combos. if you don't like what you've picked up then just mix & mash. can't be too much worse then what it was to start with.

I live with someone who has created tikka masala cheese on toast.

What a hideous concept.

When I was little we used to have golden syrup and peanut butter in a sandwich. So yummy.

bleurgh...don't read this thread, if, like me, you were already feeling ill. Supernoodles on crumpet...yuk.

Hehehe mine are all in the ice cream sundaes. Some personal favorites:

-Margarita flavored ice cream with chocolate sauce, gummy bears, and coconut cream

-Rocky road, bubble gum, lemon sorbet with hot fudge.

The list goes on....yummm

Chips and chocolate ice cream is divine.

But try peanut butter on a dill pickle sometime--another combo that is disgusting to think about and good to eat.

It's not hideous. You've never bothered trying it have you?

Anyway, that's not the weirdest thing I like. That honour goes to twiglets dipped in Nutella. Much nicer than twiglets on their own.

Hmmm...

Try vanilla ice cream with fresh ground pepper (the pepper brings out the vanilla flavour) or try stilton with chocolate (has to be stilton though.) Probably best if you melt them together and make a sauce for over a chocolate cake or similar.

Just trust me on this - there's a real reason why these work...

got to agree with the cheese and jam combo myself. but doesn't have to be restricted to sandwiches - cheese and jam tortillas are good.
i often eat cheese on digestive biscuits which i'm told is weird. ah well :)

Haven't we had this thread already? I said it then and I say it now: jam and cheese sandwiches are not weird!! And nor is cheese and digestive biscuits.

Tuna and banana on toast sprinkled with either sugar or lemon juice.

Also MacDonalds fries dipped in McFlurry is very nice too :)
