Who cares how many people are still virgins?
And who else particularly cares why?
It's just degrading...
The obvious question would be an inquiry into the sexual prowess/experience of one's peers. It's hardly degrading (necessarily) if the study is suitably anonymous. If, of course, such an institution only had two comp-sci students, one of which was an horribly awkward neckbeard the other a fiendishly endearing studmuffin, then any revelation about their two students might be somewhat revealing (and degrading).
For larger samples, you're correct to a degree. Who cares 'how many'? It's largely a person-to-person case. I've certainly never considered (to my knowledge/recollection) someone I've met on their subject's reputed virginity status, but I'll be openly honest that, yes, it's a rather daunting thing regarding someone's actual virginity or not. One'd hope for a more endearing and understanding society, but one is constrained by the bizarre conceptions/misconceptions that plague the mind.
For my part, I'd hope the virginity/non-virginity thing would be ultimately meaningless next to a person's own thoughtful input on the desire to engage in any form of verbal, intellectual, physical or wantonly lustful intercourse.
Which is to say: surely a lack/excess of experience is significantly less significant than a willingness to do the deed. Assuming, of course, you're at all interested in a person. If one were looking for advice then obviously experience (i.e. non-virginity) might have it's benefits!
As to whyIt's ruddy fascinating, on all sides of the coin. Figuring out the structure of another persons's noggin'...pretty interesting, no?
