Sex

Postby Endemoniada on Thu May 08, 2003 7:24 pm

This thread is supposed to be an alternative to the 'Love' thread. It's not about love, it's about that wonderful activity which I expect we all enjoy and wish we could get more of - shagging. Personally, I like it, I'm just slightly lazy so sometimes the effort seems like a bit of a waste. And for anyone who hasn't tried, sex on the 18th green of the golf course is damn good!!

Lol. So those in love do not enjoy shagging? Au contraire.

I really dont like the word "shagging", i think its just awful, conjuring up images of dirty smelly people with bad teeth getting drunk on tesco value lager and losing what little inhibitions thet had.

"screwing" and "fucking" are far better, i think there's a sense of class to those words.

and if you "shagged" on the 18th green, wouldn't half of Hamilton hall get a free porn show? Anyone in Hamilton care to comment on the risque events by the 18th flag?

I once lived in one of the rooms in Hamilton which directly overlooks the 18th green, and I saw many drunk ppl at weekends after closing time. Generally they all wanted to steal the flag over and over again. Never saw any shagging/screwing/fucking (whatever you want to call it). Which is a shame in many ways, because I was in prime position to do so.

Have to agree to a good extent...

"Love is an emotional thing, and whatever is emotional is opposed to true, cold reason!" True, and emotions get in the way methinks. Whilst I am sure that those in love enjoy this wonderful physical activity, a good hard screw can be enjoyed by all, irregardless of relationship status...

I find that having been in a relationship for three years, I've been trained to be damn good at fucking. Lots of opportunity for practice.

And personally, I think the Swilken bridge is better than the green - somewhow a greater satisfaction seeing as it's more well known.

Only a classicist, fully familiar with ancient Rome, could truly make such a comment so open to an alternative interpretation to the one I suspect was originally intended.

I can't say I'm a fan of any of those terms.

Can't say I'm a fan of the word "screwing", I certainly don't like the term "shagging" - reminds me too much of the icky word "snogging".

"Fucking" on the other hand I am a big fan of. When in a relationship, sometimes you want to "make love" (awww) but sometimes you just want a good fuck.

The ability to seperate love from sex is a personal thing. Some can while others just couldn't sleep with someone they weren't in a relationship with. As long as both people are clear about which category they fit into all is well and they can call it whatever the fuck they want to.

Has anyone had any strange experiences concerning noises during sex? I have friends who used to be in New Hall and were woken up one night by screams of "aah, aaaah, aaaaah, AAAAIIIIEEEEE FASTER FASTER MORE MORE YES YES FUCKING YEEEEESSS!!!!" Very strange, no?

Oh, and I like the phrase 'uphill gardening' to describe sex.

Hate to break it to you, but the Greeks were way better than the Romans.

Dont talk to me about noises during sex. I had to make a presentation to my SH class on "copulation calls" in the primates. Basically why do chimps make copulation calls and what relevance they have in humans. Its an interesting discussion but it was hard not to blush,

Oh dear - are we going to have that fight? :P

I think it all started back at A-level (somewhere in the dim and distant past...), but 7 years of ancient history have convinced me that Rome rules! (or did - and conquered Greece. And yes, they might well have been 'conquered' by Greek culture, but in a new&improved way that was far superior to those 5th century Athenians). The Romans are just more fun - and have way cooler lecturers here than the Greeks do ;)

Still have to go with the "Rome conquered Greece - you do the maths" argument...

I once had a constantly-shagging couple across from me in hall. They never bothered me, but other people on the corridor got so fed up with it that they started saying things like, 'If it's that loud she's got to be faking it' loudly outside the door.

On another point about noise - I'm counting the days until I get to move out of DRH into a flat with a huge bed that presumably doesn't go 'CREE-AK!' every time you make the slightest movement on it. My fear of alienating my neighbours has led to painful carpet burns...
