Tesco bag left at Leuchars station

Postby Trainspotter on Wed Jan 05, 2011 10:02 pm

A Tesco 'for life' bag was left at the exit from Leuchars station this afternoon (Wednesday).

This was probably left accidentally be a student returning from vacation, but after several hours since no one returned to claim it it was handed into the station office, where it can be reclaimed.

The bag contained a bookmarked novel by someone with a Scottish name which referred to an area of Scotland in the title (the exact title of which could perhaps by used to reclaim the bag) together with various other bits and pieces.

Iain Banks - Steep Approach to Garbadale

What prize did I win from the carrier bag of mystical contents?

I should perhaps have said Scottish *sounding* name, because to my ear the name Iain Banks doesn't sound particularly Scottish.

Thus your "Hamish McTavish" is slightly closer to the mark.

Here's a clue - both the author and book title contain the names of separate Scottish councils, although perhaps the book's title isn't really a book title at all -.-

Evidently not, except for yourself and RedCelt.

Just trying to liven up the forum, and evidently succeeding
