I believe twin rooms are much very like single rooms except they contain two beds instead of one.

For possible confirmation of this, and to learn other sparkly info, why not read the Sinner Guide article?

You've been very sarcastic lately Al.

Is there any reason for it?

Hey there, come join the party at Chattan! Im going into my final year there in September. The groovy thing about Chattan is that no 2 rooms are the same--each one is a different size and has different character. Some single rooms (like mine!) are huge. Some twin rooms are not what you'd think big e nough. It's luck of the draw. they're all ok. Even my poky room from last year which was 20 feet long but 5 feet wide had two fantastic bay wondows with great views! Which room are you in? I might be able to tell you what it's like if i know it. What floor are you on?Let me know and I'll see what I can tell ya...

It's about the best hall to be in for the location-closest hall to the union and really near both arts and science buildings as well as having some fantastic beach views. I love the hall which is why i've chosen to stay there even in my 4th year.

See you in september!
:)

McIntosh is a great hall, most of the rooms are fine (though a few of the twins are a bit small)

I have to say though that I found the food not great, but i know that not everyone agreed with me and that it's not worse than other halls.

Incidentally (sorry for repeating myself) but if anyone is offered a place in Uni Hall but was wanting to get into McIntosh then send me an email through my profile and I will kiss your feet forever...or not, if you prefer :)

McIntosh is a pretty good hall.

it would help to know if you're male or female, so we can tell you what the rooms are like.

the law of averages says that you'll be a girl, as you couldn't move for first year girls in mcintosh last year, and there is going to be more of them this year.

A floor - guys only. on the top of hall, so lots of stairs, but nice rooms
B floor - girls only. just like A floor in design, but longer.
C floor - girls only. higher ceilings and bigger rooms than A or B floor
D floor - the ground floor. Girls only. Lots of traffic on these corridors, unless you are on the other side of the common room, in which case it's much quieter. high ceilings like C floor
E floor - The basement. Guys only. The floor that law forgot. There's a great crowd there, and the best kept secret in hall - the power shower. Some rooms have a view of the garden. some rooms have are under street level.

If you want to learn more, then keep posting, or send me an email. there are a few mcintosh sinners (or Chattanites) who post regularly, and will be able to help out on any queries.

i'm from the little town of Oxford, located on the eastern shore.

No I won't be in McIntosh, though I got to live there for a month last summer during a summer program and I really liked it. I don't know where I'm going to be yet :(

So the power shower is on the guy's floor, huh?
Mental note: If I ever want to date a guy from Chattan, he has to live on E floor.
That's assuming I'd ever want to date that type of scum!

Im not sure if I should take offence or not!
I have been a B floor chattanite for two years now,Im an E floor for the summer and back up to A floor for next term....
And why should the powershower not be on the guy's floor? It is the shitest floor in hall, the powershower is a small compensation!

they only recently changed it to guys... which is a shame 'cos A floor was really nice despite "popular" belief that it didn't exist...

[suavely] Oh really...[/suavely]

E floor veteran, now going into my third year on E-floor. It's really great; we have a good crew down here, thought the annex might be a bit scary. I already know one troublemaker booked in to stay there.
