Has anyone seen the first issue of Chihuahua? I picked one up in the Raisin yesterday.

Has anyone seen the Coke advert where people on a subway sing "Chihuahua"? I caught it on the telly yesterday.

There was a copy of it (the magazine) on my table in the library yesterday so I had a look. I was equally bemused. Basically my reaction was, um...what?

I thought it hilarious, but some friends I was reading it too didn't find it so funny. They found it quite distasteful actually.

Then again, I'm the kinda guy who tells 'dead baby' jokes on a regular basis. Nice to know, right?

The Chihuahua is a very obvious, but good take off of the Onion. Long live the short mexican yapping one!

I read one in DRH last year - didn't like it then, it was trying too hard to be funny and/or contraversial, and ended up just coming across as obnoxious. Has it changed?

I've heard a rumour that some of the subject matter in the last issue was actually considered so distasteful that the remaining issues were recalled :O

The current edition is borderline offensive, but I think it stays just on the right side of the line

Actually we are preparing a new issue and issue 3 due to come out monday (roughly). Promises to be best yet.
