what is classed as smoking in public? and this is meant in all serious. ok you have the pubs, clubs and restuarants. but are all open air venues classed as ok to smoke? what about beer gardens? would that be ok?
if it is ok to smoke on the streets then smokers that go the smoke free pub will go out the front door to have a smoke. then that will be the next complaint "i had to go through a group of 10 smokers to get into the pub".
would the executive be prepared to fork out for ashtrays for the doorsteps of pubs/clubs/restuarants.
if i am in a restuarant that does not allow smoking, when i go to have a cigarette i go outside. so if this law did pass and i wanted a cigarette i would just go outside. but if there is an option to have a cigarette with my pint then i will take it, like 1 smokers pub and 9 anti-smoking pub.
on the train they have the smokers coach, except on virgin where it is all non-smoking. i would choose to go to the smokers coach so i can have a smoke but on a virgin train i would do without rather than like what some silly beggars do and smoke in the toilet, flushing everytime they exhale thinking that will take the smell away.
no smoking in university buildings is already in place so i don't smoke in university buildings. no smoking in my mothers house so i don't smoke in my mothers house. when, and it will be when, no smoking in public areas is introduced then i will not smoke in public areas.
