Hi all,

Having had a gander around the silly train website it seems the cheapest way to get back to sunny St A on a Sunday is to get into London and head up, this is slow anyhows due to the line not running from Cupar onwards so there being a bus service [img]littleicons/yellowsadface.gif[/img]
As such I am planning on getting the 7:45 "train" (read bus and train) to London, then the 10:20 from Kings Cross which gets into Leuchars at 16:50. With a railcard the journey comes to £36.90
Plus we can always sleep on the trains...

Hi guys,

Just so you know, I think I mentioned this to Chris at some point: I will be traveling back separately on the Sunday, possibly missing the finals on Saturday night, so that I can visit some friends down south before my return up north. If anyone wants to come with me to visit people and then drive back up here Sunday night, just let me know: there'll be space for one more person in the car!

St. Andrews became the first Scottish institution in four years (according to Eleanor Dempsey) to make the break at Oxford.

St Andrews B (Connie and Doug) put forward their best showing yet, taking a second in the top room and breaking sixth of 140 teams, before Doug's self-destruction in the quarter-finals knocked them out of contention.

St Andrews A (Rach and Chris) got a rather dodgy decision in their third round, but still managed to recover to 44th overall.

I do feel somewhat grieved that despite Rach's seeming inability to take POIs at the right point in time she still was only 3 speaks behind me!
