My congratulations to everyone for what looks like a great performance for Day 1 (is the full pre-break tab up anywhere?) and to Jason, Tony, Connie, and Doug for making the break! I wish you the best of luck for your next rounds...

Congratulations to all of you - well done, and perhaps even more importantly, I hope you're having a great time over there. Don't forget to sing 'Istanbul (Not Constantinople)' as many times as possible while you're there :)

After all was said and done, Cambridge B (Giles Robertson and Sam Block) won the final from 1st proposition.

Tallinn Red won the ESL final.

Euros next year, I believe, are to be held in Tallinn.

Well done to all involved especially to strong showings from Jess and Beth well in contention for the break.

I think this demonstrates that next year's Scottish circuit could well be St Andrews dominated!

Im sorry to report that the final was eventually won by Cambridge B (Sam Block and Giles Robertson) who spoke in first proposition to the motion that This House believes that the State has the right to lie in times of war (or words to that effect).

The judging decision came down to an 8-1 split with Connie and Doug a close second to Cambridge.

Very well done to both Connie and Doug - we expect great things at Worlds!

Has anyone watched the video they gave us yet?

Good quality? Any bits of the semis? Or the quarters?

I hope they didn't make that second dvd of all of those random videos they took of people debating throughout the competition...
