Last year (and the year before) aikido cost £10 per semester, but if you joined early enough in the year the first semester was only £5.

The instructor is not inherently scary. Odd, perhaps, is a better term. He is also one of the most consummate martial artists with whom I have ever trained. I recommend at least going to one of the introductory sessions at the beginning of the year. It's great fun, and highly amusing.
