Does anyone know how the room numbers work? I was just assigned to room DE/41 for next year. Is that in the main house. Also, if anyone could tell me about the room, i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

DE/41 is not a room. It is an allocation of a place in Deans Court (numbered from DE/01 to DE/52). The Residence Manager will allocate you a room in either Main Building or one of the annexes (in due course).

The DE/nn numbers mean nothing - they don't tell which building you are in, let alone which room.

So how did you work out who is next to you?

I'm a former resident.
If you can, avoid the North Street Annexes, they're just appalling.

Main House is OK, but often no basins in the rooms. A couple of extraordinary rooms with sea views, but likely to be taken by incumbents.

Suggest either of the South Street Annexes, with a preference for 5 South Street.
