Postgraduate arrival

I was just wondering whether new postgraduates are supposed to/advised to arrive on the day halls open (20th) and whether most people intend to arrive then or a bit later in the week?

It's personal preference really, I think we need to be in St Andrews by about mid week of freshers week to matriculate, but other than that it's up to yourself really. I intend to get back asap, gives me more drinking time before the term starts.
