Hello all.

I'd thought i'd start a post for general discussion about the society- whats good, 'n whats bad, so Committee gets some feedback. Feel free to ignore me.

um yeah, so when are the meetings of the society, cos i dont seem to be getting the e-mails anymore.

is there one tonight??

Ah. Yes the emails seem to have stopped. (To rest of committee- could someone send me the mailing list, please? Thanks.)
The next meeting will be Monday 28th of November. Due to lack of time we will be showing Escaflowne, for which I apologise. It'll be dubbed as well, for which I also apologise. Blame Amazon.

No-one tells me when the meetings are or what we're showing each week, so I haven't been sending any messages out.

I'll post the mailing list your way since you're more in the know it seems.

Yes. No one's being telling me anything either, so we've made it up as we go along.

The times are all up on a wee poster in the union but then no one actually did decide what we were watching each week which might be where the problem lies ^^;;

So are we on Monday or Tuesday this week?

And next weeks meeting will be on MONDAY AT 7PM!!! Sorry, I screwed up!
Anyone has any films/OVAs/1st episodes of series they want to show, bring them.

I think we should have social events where we get together and actually talk to each other ... perhaps a strange new concept for some (although i admit that ppl in anime appear to talk more than those in sciffy) but i think it could be fun ^_^

There's no need to be rude about your fellow members, just because we're antisocial wierdos...
A social would be an interesting idea, but it would dtract from the budget for buying anime... Besides, on our own I'm not sure how many people would trun up.
Anyone else on the Committee got ideas, 'cause I like the idea...

I wasn't being rude - i'm probably about as anti-social as the rest of you, i just like to go out drinking as well

I was thinking that we could just arrange a meet-up in a pub - won't cost anything and if only a few ppl turn up we won't have lost anything either - all we'd need is a vote on which is the best pub to go to ^_^

Pubs are noisy&scary&smoky
. Reckon earmuffs and a peg should sort me! - willing to try and all that but it's hard to find someplace that doesn't sound like a club/rave.

We could go to a quiet pub...somewhere like drouthys isn't usually very busy or smokey ^_-

I know!, I know! ..picture this ...we go to a pub right?..then have a drink and a ....chat....right?..then, and this is the crucially cunning part, we go to a 'project anime late-night showing' at the cinema (remember those last year?)This stupendous plan would encourage members to go, be social and above all else..the obviously important and all-encompassing conclusive sentence that need not be stated due to its overt brilliance!..thoughts?

I don't know if we're planning on doing any cinema showings this year - so few people turned up that i don't think it was really worth it.
